From the Desk of Administrator John T. McKeehan II

February 19, 2021

I hope you all are doing well and staying safe and warm during this unprecedented winter storm event.

I wanted to give you an update on where we stand currently.  You will be happy to know that we never once lost power so your loved ones have stayed warm and toasty.  We did have some water issues for the last two days due to City of Tyler infrastructure issues, but we are back up and running now.  We had plenty of food and water and medications during this time, so there were NO drops in service from that perspective either.

“You will be happy to know that we never once lost power so your loved ones have stayed warm and toasty.”

Our staff has been tight due to these conditions and their own personal challenges, but we’ve done everything we can to maintain the bare essentials for care of your loved ones.  All of our residents (and your loved ones) have been patient and understanding and we appreciate your understanding as well.

I know there has been concern regarding communication and lack of contact but I can assure you it was not intentional. Prioritizing care is first and foremost at the top of our list.

I feel confident that after today, things should start to return to normal as the temperatures finally get above freezing and all this ice starts to melt on the roads.  We should be able to resume visitations come Monday February 22nd.

Warmest regards,

John T. McKeehan II
